Exit & Re-entry Policy
Wristbands to leave and re-enter the festival are available at all gate areas from Noon until 6:30 pm daily. Re-entry wristbands will be valid for a single, same day re-entry until 7:00 pm. No re-entry wristbands will be issued after 6:30 pm and there are no re-entries after 7:00 pm.
Additionally, no wristbands for re-entry will be issued on Sunday, July 9, 2017.

When is Summerfest open?
Summerfest 2017 will be open Wednesday, June 28 - Sunday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 4 - Sunday, July 9 from Noon to Midnight.
What can I carry-in?
The following items are ALLOWED at Summerfest:
- Umbrellas (Note: Umbrellas are not allowed inside the American Family Insurance Amphitheater)
- Strollers (Note: Strollers are not allowed inside the American Family Insurance Amphitheater)
- Disposable Camera
- Small Camera (No Professional Grade Cameras and Video Equipment)
- Small Bag or Purse
- Drawstring backpacks are allowed
The following items are NOT ALLOWED at Summerfest:
- Large Bags over 9X10X12 inches
- Camelback style hydration packs
- Picnic Baskets
- Outside food and beverages
- Cans or glass bottles
- Illegal drugs or substances
- Weapons or objects that could be used as weapons
- Professional grade cameras or video equipment
- Recording devices
- Pets (except service animals)
- “Selfie sticks”
- Banners or flags on poles
- Laser pointers
- Lawn chairs
- Skateboards or skates
- Other carry-ins as determined by management
The following additional items are NOT PERMITTED in the American Family Insurance Amphitheater:
- Professional grade cameras and video equipment, unless authorized by the performer
- Other items as determined by the performer
Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. reserves the right to alter carry-in item policies at any time.
What are the security policies at the gates during Summerfest?
In line with all other major venues and stadiums, all visitors and employees will enter the festival through metal detection and should be prepared to comply with other security screening requirements. Summerfest encourages patrons to leave their pages at home to cut down on waiting at the gate. For timlier access, there will be designated screening lanes. If patrons bring bags, they will be searched upon entering. No backpacks or bags larger than 9x10x12 will be allowed on the grounds.
Is there a place I can put my umbrella, purchases, etc.?
Yes, check in at one of the Information Booths on the grounds (located near each gate) for directions to a specific location.
What do I get with a Summerfest ticket?
A Summerfest General Admission ticket is valid any time the grounds are open (Noon - Midnight) and permits access to all grounds stages.
A Weekday Admission ticket is valid for entry before 4:00 pm, Tuesday - Friday and also permits access to all grounds stages.
A separate ticket is required for all American Family Insurance Amphitheater concerts; however, this ticket will also grant access to the festival grounds, and permits access to all grounds stages.
Can I rent a stroller or wheelchair?
Yes, limited rentals are available at the North, Mid and South Gates with proper identification.
Where can I buy tickets?
Summerfest strongly urges all patrons to avoid purchasing tickets on the street from unauthorized sources, as the tickets may be counterfeit.
For your own protection, tickets should only be purchased at Summerfest ticket booths, at the Summerfest Store or Ticketmaster.com.
Counterfeit tickets and tickets purchased from unauthorized sources will not be honored.
Who are authorized ticket sellers?

Is Summerfest accessible per ADA guidelines?
Access for People with Disabilities
For complete information on accessibility on the grounds, a free brochure is available at all Information Booths on the festival grounds, the Summerfest Box Office and at the NSCIA Respite Pavilion or by visiting the Accessibility page.
Accessible picnic tables, drinking fountains and accessible restrooms are located throughout the grounds and in the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Accessible seating is also available at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater and at all stage areas on a first-come, first-served basis. The First Aid Building pay phone includes a TTY option.
Spaces are available in Lots G & H. Vehicles must have appropriate plates or permits to park in accessible spaces. All parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.

National Spinal Cord Injury Association Respite Pavilion
Located south of the Miller Lite Oasis, this facility is specifically designed for the comfort of our patrons who have a disability or unique need. The pavilion includes a fully accessible shower and restroom facilities, air-conditioned rest area and an outdoor observation deck.
Summerfest Courtesy Vest Program
Program volunteers will be stationed at the Mid Gate and throughout the festival grounds to provide volunteer support and to promote the programs and services available to people with disabilities.
Where can I look for something I think I lost at Summerfest?
Lost and Found articles are turned into and can be claimed at the Police Command Post located just south of the Harley-Davidson® Roadhouse. The Milwaukee Police Department staffs the Lost and Found area.

What if I need to take a taxi home?
During Summerfest only, standard taxi service is available outside the South Gate two blocks west on Jackson Street, one block west of the Mid Gate on Chicago Street at Jackson Street and one block north of the North Gate on Michigan Street.
What if I get ill or injured while on the grounds?
There are First Aid stations located at the North, Mid and South Gates. Ambulance service is provided by Bell Ambulance. Milwaukee Fire Department units are present at the site. See the Grounds Map for more details.
Are there facilities at Summerfest for Nursing Mothers?
Yes. A facility for Nursing Mothers is located at the Columbia St. Mary's Cool Down Lounge. See #4 on the Grounds Map.
How do I apply for a media credential for Summerfest?

Do you accept credit cards on the grounds?
The majority of vendors on the grounds accept credit cards. Additionally, ATMs are available and accept the following bank or credit cards: Plus, Star, MasterCard, Cirrus, Visa, Plus, American Express and Discover.
